Alex Gross has been one of the key players in the low brow art game for years now and he is not about to stop! He was born in 1968 in New York and now resides in Los Angeles, California so he has a front row seat to the mass consumerist society that we find ourselves in today. He specializes in oil painting and his themes include globalization, commerce, great beauty, dark mayhem, time and mass consumption. Personally I enjoy his art because it’s upfront and places brands that we all use everyday, revealing a little bit of the dark side in us all. But I must admit it’s funny how, with these kind of topics, none of us wants to be seen as the suit nor the holy cow. So we cant be held accountable?
